The UGC NET June 2024 session exam dates have been changed. Prof. Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar, the UGC Chairman, announced this via his social media account.
The UGC NET exam, which was initially scheduled to be held across the country on June 16, has now been rescheduled.
The UGC NET June 2024 session exam will now be held on June 18, 2024, instead of June 16, at various exam centres nationwide. The National Testing Agency (NTA) may issue an official notification on its website at any time.
Before issuing the notice, UGC Chairman Prof. M. Jagadesh Kumar announced the new exam date for UGC NET through his social media account on 'X' (formerly Twitter).
The UGC Chairman wrote on 'X', "Following feedback from candidates, the National Testing Agency and UGC have decided to reschedule the UGC-NET from June 16 (Sunday) to June 18, 2024 (Tuesday). NTA will conduct the UGC-NET across India in OMR mode on a single day. NTA will soon issue a formal notification."
Due to a clash with the UPSC Prelims Exam Date, the UGC NET exam date has been changed. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is scheduled to conduct the Civil Services Preliminary Exam 2024 on June 16.
Millions of candidates across the country appear for this exam, and some of these candidates had also applied for the UGC NET exam.
They had requested a change in the UGC NET exam date, as mentioned by the UGC Chairman in his tweet.
The UPSC Civil Services Examination (Preliminary) 2024 was initially scheduled for May 26. However, due to the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, which are set to take place from April 19 to June 1, 2024, with results being announced on June 4, the UPSC exam has been rescheduled to June 16.
Registrations for the UGC NET June 2024 session are currently ongoing. Interested candidates who have not yet applied for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for June 2024 can register online through the official website ugcnet.nta.ac.in until May 10.
The last date to submit the exam fee online is from May 11 to May 12, 2024. The agency will also open a correction window on May 13 and it will close on May 15.
After the registration process is complete, the announcement of the exam centre city and details will be made.
