Ministery of External Affairs in Contact with Iran over Detention of Indian Crew Members

The British oil tankers have been seized by Iran in the Strait of Homruz between Tensions in the Gulf. There are 18 Indian nationals out of 23 crew members inside a tanker caught in these oil tankers. According to an information, there are 23 crew members in a vessel occupied, including 18 Indian nationals of origin. According to officials, it is not yet decided on how many crew members are on the ship Indian. The Indian External Affairs Ministry has issued a statement saying that we are exploring further information. Our Mission is an early release of Indian citizens. To secure the repatriation we are in touch with the Government of Iran. 18 Indians and five crew members are from Russia, Phillip, Latvia and other countries.
