Bhanupriya Saini

A meeting was held to pay tribute to martyrs Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru at Tower Chowk under the joint aegis of Bharat Ki Janwadi Naujawan Sabha, Student Federation of India, Central India Trade Union Congress and All India Trade Union Congress. The meet decided to carry out struggle as per the dream of Bhagat Singh.

Prominent among those who addressed the meeting were Amritlal Amrit, Arun Verma, Ram Tyagi, Abdul Aziz, Kanhaiyya Pehalwanm Noor Mohammed and Kuldeep Singh. They said it's unfortunate that some glorify Nathuram Godse as a patriot while martyr's like Bhagat Singh's had been portrayed as a terrorist.

They said that the policy of Britishers to divide and the rule is still on and is being enforced in new forms. The education system of our country has been collapsed and more than 10 crore youths are wandering for jobs.

During the programme, martyrs were fondly remembered. Like freedom fighters, veteran labourers and employee leaders were felicitated by the hosts. Kushagra Singh Thakur conducted the proceedings and Lucky Singh proposed a vote of thanks.
