Maruti Suzuki Ignis gets New Update, Knows What Changed

Maruti Suzuki introduced the facelift of its popular car Maruti Suzuki Ignis at the Auto Expo 2020. The company has made some cosmetic changes in the new model. Apart from this, the company has also made some changes in the interior of the car. The company says that by May 16, 2020, the company had received more than 50,000 bookings for the car. To boost the cell, the company has also updated it to the Zeta version.

In this Maruti car, you now get the SmartPlay Infotainment System. The Zeta variant of the Ignis can be taken in two variants MT and AMT. Their price is 5.98 lakhs and 6.45 lakhs respectively. The new 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Earlier, this car used to come in Alpha variants only.

Was seen in the Auto Expo

The company first introduced the new Ignis at the Auto Expo 2020. Only the new Maruti Ignis petrol engine has been launched. It has a BS6 compliant petrol engine. Also, some cosmetic changes have been made in the new Ignis, which gives it a fresh look. Talking about the design changes, the overall profile of the new Ignis is the same as the old model. However, to give the car a fresh look, the front has a new chrome grille and new front and rear bumpers with faux scuff plates.

The Maruti Ignis facelift is powered by a Swift and Baleno with BS6 compliant 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine. The engine generates 82 bhp of power and 113 Nm of peak torque. It has a 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox options. For safety, the Maruti Ignis features dual-airbags, ISOFIX child seat mounts, seatbelt pre-tensioners and ABS with EBD as standard.
