Major Dhyanchand’s Son will give Hockey Coaching to Tribal Players

The Tribal Hockey Academy, which is going to start in Udaipur, is now waiting for the instructions of the government. Almost all the preparations have been completed for this first academy of open tribal area in Udaipur. The selection trials of the academy have been completed. Children have also been selected for the academy. Coaches have also been fixed for the children. Arrangements have also been made for hostels and schools. The academy is now awaiting the instructions of the government as to when the government starts the academy, hostels, and schools under the Kovid protocol.

70 players selected for Academy

The department has selected 70 players for Tribal Hockey Academy. This includes 40 boys and 30 girls. In the selection trial, these players have been selected on the basis of strength testing, battery test, and other skills. All these players will stay in the hostels of the tribal department. Their coaching, schooling, lodging, and food will all be done by the tribal department.

Hockey Astroturf is at Khelgaon

Hockey Astroturf is also ready for coaching these players. Rajasthan's third hockey astroturf is made at Khelgaon in Udaipur. It is here that hockey coaching will be given to the players. Tribal commissioner Pragya Kewalramani says that an MoU has been signed with the coach for coaching. Ashok Dhyanchand, son of hockey magician Major Dhyanchand, will coach the players. Pragya told that the academy and the department are completely ready, we will start coaching as soon as the government gives orders to start coaching-schooling.
