Leander Paes to Compete in Bengaluru ATP Challenger Tournament

Indian star tennis player Leander Paes will compete in the Bengaluru ATP Challenger. This may be Paes's last tournament in India. Paes has already said that after this year, he will say goodbye to his 30-year long professional career. The tournament will start on 10 February at the Karnataka State Lawn Tennis Association (KSLTA). Paes said, 'I get immense satisfaction from playing in front of Indian fans at home. It also inspires me. People who understand tennis are found in Bengaluru. Paes last played in Bengaluru during Davis Cup in 2014 when his partner was Rohan Bopanna.

Leander Paes has been included in the Indian Davis Cup squad for the World Group Qualifiers match against Croatia in Zagreb. The All India Tennis Federation (AITA) announced this on Thursday. The matches will be played on March 6 and 7. Apart from Paes, the doubles team includes Rohan Bopanna, Divij Sharan, while singles feature Prajnesh Gunneswaran, Sumit Nagal, and Ramkumar Ramanathan. Rohit Rajpal is the non-playing captain, while Zeeshan Ali will be the coach of the team.
