23-year-old Jennie Jerome fulfilled her childhood dream of flying an airplane. Jennie's father first shared the daughter's first flight on the WhatsApp group, after which it gradually went viral on social media. Thiruvananthapuram MP Shashi Tharoor also tweeted congratulating him. He wrote that the girl, who came out of a small fishermen's village, is living a childhood dream.
Jennie has been living in Ajman, UAE with her parents and brother for the past two decades. A month and a half ago, she was with her mother and brother in their native place Trivandrum. She then returned to prepare for her first flight. Father Jerome works in a private firm in Ajman.
Jennie's brother JB is a chartered accountant by profession. He told, 'She was very excited but at the same time trying to focus. It was her first flight, so naturally a little nervous. She is calm and does not like much publicity. After school, she took a pilot training course. She is lucky to get the first flight to Hometown. '
