Jammu and Kashmir Youth Activist Openly Supports the Removal of Article 370

At a time when the voices of protest are being heard after the withdrawal of special status from Jammu and Kashmir, the coming of youth of Kashmir in favor of the Historic decision to remove Article 370 by the Government of India is a big thing. There are many youngsters in favor of the removal of the article, but the name has not been brought forward due to security reasons. However, the youth of Mir Junaid state who are openly supporting the government's move.

Junaid, 27, in an interview with IANS, attacked the National Conference (NC) and the People's Democratic Party (PDP), saying that removal of Articles 370 and 35-A (which took special status from Jammu and Kashmir) was not beneficial for those who want to govern themselves in the state. Coming from Langet in Kupwara district of Kashmir, Junaid said, 'I believe that the removal of Articles 370 and 35-A provided a kind of liberation for the people of Jammu and Kashmir from political dynasties. The weaker sections of the society, who were deprived of many facilities, will benefit from this step.

When asked that if this decision of the government was correct then why were some people protesting? To this Junaid said, 'Their shops are closed and that's why they are showing resentment. Otherwise, after the withdrawal of 370, Kashmir will now turn into a World-class socio-economic movement. Explaining that he had not joined any political party, the youth activist said that he was supporting the government's move as Home Minister Amit Shah tabled the Parliament during the debate on 370 and 35-A cancellation. But some things were promised.
