Korean tech company Samsung will launch the Galaxy F55 5G smartphone in the mid-range segment in the Indian market on May 17. The company has confirmed the launch date in an official post on social media X.

According to media reports, the phone will be a rebranded version of the Galaxy C55, which the company introduced in China last month. In India, it will be launched with a 50-megapixel camera, Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC chipset with 5,000mAh battery and 45W wired fast charging.

The company said in its post that the price of the smartphone will be less than Rs 30,000 in India. Its booking has started on e-commerce website Flipkart and official website. The phone can be offered in three variants.

Regarding its price, it was recently revealed that the base variant of the phone will be released with 8GB RAM + 128GB storage, which will be priced at Rs 26,999. While the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model will be priced at Rs 29,999. At the same time, the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant of the phone can be purchased for Rs 32,999.

Talking about the design of the phone, its back panel will have a vegan leather finish with stitching design. The phone will be offered with Apricot Crush and Raisin Black color options. Let's know about its expected specifications...

Display: Samsung Galaxy F55 can have a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED FHD + display with 1080x2400 pixel resolution. It will get a refresh rate of 120Hz for smooth performance. Its peak brightness is 1,000 nits, so that you will be able to use it easily even in sunlight.

Camera: The phone has a triple rear camera for photography. It can have a 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) support, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro shooter. Whereas, for selfie and video calling, the phone is expected to have a 50-megapixel front facing camera.

Chipset: For performance, the phone can be given Android 14 based operating system, which will get Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC chipset to process.

Storage: In this you will get up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. In this, you will be able to increase the storage up to 1TB with the help of micro SD chip.

Battery: It will have a 5000mAh battery, with which 45W fast charging support will be available.
