Jaipur may Soon Get World’s Third Largest Cricket Stadium

India is all set to construct another largest stadium in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Its design has also been finalized and this 100-acre stadium will cost around Rs 350 crore. Mahendra Sharma, secretary of the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) gave this information. He informed that the stadium will have a capacity of 75 thousand spectators.

It will be the third-largest stadium in the world:

It will be the third-largest stadium after Ahmedabad's Motera Cricket Stadium and Melbourne Stadium in Australia. Motera has a capacity of 1.10 lakh viewers, while Melbourne Stadium has 1.02 lakh spectators capacity.

Land final in Champ village:

RCA has finalized 41.47 hectares (about 100 acres) of land in the village of Champ for this stadium. There will be facility of indoor games, training academy for many sports, clubhouse, parking for 4 thousand cars.

The stadium will have two separate practice grounds:

The stadium will also have two separate practice grounds, in which Ranji matches can be held. There will be two restaurants for spectators, 30 practice nets for the international level for players and a press conference room of 250 seats for media.

RCA wrote a letter to BCCI for 100 crore grant:

The design format of this international stadium was presented by the firm Mehta & Associates LLP in front of RCA Chief CP Joshi and RCA President Vaibhav Gehlot. The final design took place at Joshi's house meeting. On the other hand, RCA has also written a letter to the BCCI for a grant of Rs 100 crore.
