The Ambassador of Switzerland had a courtesy call on CM Gehlot at the Chief Minister's residence to discuss the possibilities of Swiss investment in Rajasthan.
There was a special discussion on investment in the tourism sector. To promote investment in the state, State Investor Summit 'Invest Rajasthan-2022' is going to be held in Jaipur on January 20 and 21, 2022. In which Swiss investors are also preparing to participate.
Swiss Ambassador Dr. Rof Hackner told the Chief Minister that the huge investment opportunities and the continuous decisions being taken by the Government of Rajasthan for ease of doing business have sent a positive message to Swiss companies and investors as well.
Swiss investors are showing interest to participate in this summit. Hackner said that Switzerland is a leading country in the field of tourism. Similarly, the state is also a major center of attraction for tourists. In the field of tourism, Rajasthan and Switzerland can go even further by taking advantage of each other's expertise.
Chief Minister Gehlot said that the state government has taken many important decisions to promote investment in the state. These include MSME Act-2019, Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme (RIPS-2019), Rajasthan Industrial Development Policy-2019, the Solar and Wind Policy, Many important policies, and programs like the One-Stop-Shop System have been implemented.
These policy-based reforms have created a better investment climate in Rajasthan. Mutual cooperation in the field of information technology was also discussed in the discussion between the Chief Minister and the Swiss Ambassador. So Hackner appreciated the innovation and reforms being done in the area of e-governance in the state.
