‘I Rejected PM’s Offer to Work Together’, said NCP Chief Sharad Pawar

NCP Chief Sharad Pawar has said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had offered to work with him, but he turned down the offer. Pawar made this statement in a conversation with a television channel. Reacting to Pawar's statement, BJP leader Sudhir Mungantiwar has said that Pawar is a mature leader and Narendra Modi is the Prime Minister of the country. I do not know what was discussed between these two big leaders, but is it appropriate to discuss something that happened between two senior leaders in such a way, openly?

Mungantiwar said that this saying by Sharad Pawar is one sided. The Prime Minister will not deny this. Therefore, such things should not be discussed in public. There has never been any discussion on this subject even in the core committee meeting of us.

The NCP had initially supported BJP's minority Fadnavis government in 2014 from outside. This time too, it was believed that after Shiv Sena's displeasure, NCP and BJP might form a government together. This possibility also appeared to be true when Ajit Pawar, the then leader of NCP Legislature Party, along with Devendra Fadnavis, shock everyone by taking the oath of office as Deputy Chief Minister.
