BJP leader Ashwani Upadhyay has filed a petition in the High Court in a case of sabotage in Delhi's Jamia Nagar in protest of the Citizenship Amendment Act. In the petition, the BJP leader has demanded from the Delhi High Court that the losses incurred due to sabotage in the Jamia violence should be recovered from those arrested. For this, the court should order the concerned department and the government.

While hearing the petition of Ashwani Upadhyay, the bench of Chief Justice DN Patel and Justice C Harishankar has not issued any order. The court said that we will consider it later.

People protesting in Jamia became violent against the Citizenship Amendment Act. In Kalindi Kunj, Okhla and New Friends Colony, miscreants vandalized several vehicles while setting several on fire. According to the information, four DTC buses, 10 bikes and more than 100 private vehicles were set ablaze by the miscreants. Many policemen were also hurt in the stone pelting of the protesters. Police arrested many people in this case.
