Delhi High Court today ruled on the bail plea of former Union Minister and senior Congress leader P Chidambaram in INX Media Case. Chidambaram is shocked by the decision. His bail plea has not been accepted by the court. While delivering the verdict, the court said that Chidambaram cannot tamper with the evidence but can influence the case. The court also said that he is a member of the Lok Sabha and a member of the bar, he has influence in the society. In such a situation, he can influence the evidence. On Friday, the High Court reserved the verdict after completing the hearing.

The former finance minister, arrested in the INX Media case, moved the Delhi High Court on September 11 for his bail. Chidambaram has also challenged the CBI court order of 14 days judicial custody in the INX Media case. The case is being investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

Actually, INX is a media company. An FIR was registered against it on 15 May 2017. It has alleged that the Department for Foreign Investment Promotion, which approved foreign investment to benefit this media company, found many flaws in it. In such a situation when the work of investment was done, P. Chidambaram was the Finance Minister at that time.
