Five Day Custody of Congress Leader DK Shivakumar Extended

Karnataka Congress leader DK Shivakumar did not get any relief from the court. The court extended his custody by 5 days and sent him to ED custody till September 17.

The Enforcement Directorate on Thursday filed a petition in Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi seeking extension of custody of Congress leader DK Shivakumar in the money laundering case. The Enforcement Directorate  said in Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court that DK Shivakumar gave irrelevant answers during the interrogation.

In the money laundering case, the Enforcement Directorate  has sought to extend the custody of DK Shivakumar by 5 days. The ED said that his statement was recorded to ascertain the modus operandi. He also took breaks several times during interrogation.

The judge asked the ED, he is not cooperating in the investigation, what does this mean? The ED said on this – the details which are in his information, he is not giving. After which the judge again asked the ED, do you think he will answer in 5 days? If they did not answer then, will they give now?

Later Congress leader DK Shivakumar did not get any relief from the court. The court extended his custody by 5 days and sent him to ED custody till September 17.
