External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj Arrives in Morocco After The Pulwama Terror Attack

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj met Morocco's Foreign Minister Nasser Bertie on Monday to discuss bilateral cooperation in several areas including defense, counter-terrorism, commerce, and business. Swaraj reached on the first visit to Morocco from Bulgaria on Sunday.

He is on a four-day trip to Bulgaria, Morocco, and Spain where he will discuss ways to strengthen India's relations with these countries and increase the areas of cooperation.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Ravish Kumar tweeted, "Sushma Swaraj met Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bertie. There have been positive discussions on increasing commerce and investment, defense, counterterrorism, science and technology, tourism, culture, and diplomatic access.

Sushma handed a letter to Bertie to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who wrote it in the name of Shah Mohammad Chhatra of the country.

Kumar said, "External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj handed over a letter to Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bortia, which Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote in the name of Shah of Morocco. It has been written in response to Shah's letter. '
