Union Minorities Welfare Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi arrived in Srinagar on Wednesday amidst a visit by the Union government ministers to Jammu and Kashmir. Naqvi visited the famous Lal Chowk in the valley to meet people on a tour of Kashmir. During this, Naqvi also met local shopkeepers and citizens.

Naqvi, who visited Kashmir, reached Lal Chowk in the morning amidst tight security and visited local markets. During this, the minister also interacted with the shopkeepers. Talking to the media on his visit, Naqvi said that the situation in Kashmir Valley is completely normal and the Center has made extensive plans for the development of the state. Soon a big change will be seen in the state.

Naqvi said that there is a positive atmosphere in the valley and we are all constantly talking to the people here. We want to create a happy atmosphere of development and change here. Let us know that during Naqvi, it is happening when 5 months ago, the Central Government has abolished Article 370 giving special status to Jammu and Kashmir. The Center had proposed the end of Article 370 in Parliament on 5 August and most of the provisions of this Article were scrapped after it was approved.

Recently, the central government decided to send 38 of its ministers on tours of different areas of Jammu and Kashmir. In the order of this decision of the government, from January 18, different ministers of the Center are visiting different districts of the state. Apart from Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, Union Ministers Smriti Irani, Jitendra Singh, Kiren Rijiju, Anurag Thakur have also visited the state so far.
