The world is celebrating International Yoga Day today. The event started with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's address in the country as well. However, in the meantime, a controversy has arisen over a tweet by Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi. He tweeted, 'Nither Yoga will become more powerful by chanting Om, nor will the power of Yoga be diminished by saying Allah.'
Yoga guru Baba Ramdev retaliated on this. He said, 'Ishwar-Allah your name, God give everyone's consent. Allah, God is one for all, so what is the problem in saying 'Om'? But we are not forbidding anyone to say God. If everyone does yoga, then everyone will see only one God.
Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the country. He gave the country the mantra of 'Yoga se Sahyog Tak'. He said that today when the whole world is fighting against Corona, Yoga remains a ray of hope.
For two years, there may not have been any major public program in the big countries of the world, but the enthusiasm for yoga has not diminished. This year's theme 'Yoga for Wellness' has increased the love of yoga among people even more.
This time the second Yoga Day is being celebrated amid the Corona epidemic. Earlier last year also, the sixth Yoga Day was organized amid the pandemic. However, it remained pale due to Corona. Last year, the United Nations had kept its theme 'Yoga for Health – Yoga from Home'. This time too Corona is being celebrated with Appropriate Behavior. That is, the rules of social distancing, masks and frequent hand washing will have to be followed.
The first World Yoga Day was celebrated on 21 June 2015. On this day, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, about 35,985 people did 21 different yogasanas for 35 minutes at the Rajpath in New Delhi.
Two Guinness World Records were also created during this period. The first record was made for such a large number of people doing yoga at one place and the second record was made due to the participation of people of 84 different nationalities in this event.
