BJP’s Another Attack on Congress, Fielded the Second Candidate for Rajya Sabha in Rajasthan

Nidhi Hakla

In Madhya Pradesh, the BJP is taking advantage of the internal struggles of the Congress, is now trying to take advantage of the factionalism within the Congress in Rajasthan. This is the reason that on Friday, the last day of nomination, Bharatiya Janata Party has fielded Omkar Singh Lakhawat as the second candidate for Rajya Sabha in Rajasthan.

After giving a big blow to the Kamal Nath government of Madhya Pradesh as Jyotiraditya Scindia, now BJP wants to do a litmus test in Rajasthan. Actually, BJP feels that this is the time when it can be estimated how many MLA's are angry with Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and whether Sachin Pilot faction can go with us to oppose Congress candidate.

The Congress had announced 2 candidates for the Rajya Sabha on Thursday night. One candidate from the Congress is KC Venugopal who is the General Secretary of the organization of the Congress and the other is Neeraj Dangi. Deputy Chief Minister and state Congress president Sachin Pilot also had objections to Neeraj Dangi's name.
