Birthday of Lord Birsa Munda will be Celebrated as Tribal Pride Day on November 15, says PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a museum in Ranchi in memory of tribal freedom fighter Birsa Munda through video-conferencing. On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that from today 15 November every year Birsa Munda's birthday will be celebrated as Tribal Pride Day.

Modi said, "I dedicate this decision of the country to Lord Birsa Munda and our many freedom fighters and heroines. I have spent a large part of my life with tribal brothers and sisters and their children. I have been a witness to the needs and life. So today is a very emotional day for me personally. A separate ministry was formed by Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ji. I pay homage to Atal Ji. I do."

Museum will become a living establishment of tribal freedom fighters

He said that he had spent his last days fighting for the independence of India in this jail in Ranchi. I am happy that today the first tribal museum in Jharkhand, rich in tribal culture, came into existence. I congratulate the tribal society of the whole country on this museum.
