Big Setback to Akhilesh Yadav

Shivani Alakh

Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav's Z-Plus category 'Black Cat' commando security center will withdraw the government. However, the security of his father and SP patron Mulayam Singh Yadav will continue.

According to official sources, overall security review of the security of the Central Armed Police Force received by the Ministry of Home Affairs has been reviewed. After this, the decision to remove the security of Akhilesh has been taken. The National Security Guard (NSG) has provided security to them. It is not clear now that Akhilesh will be cut off by providing security of the second central force or completely withdrawing his central security.

During the UPA government at the Center in 2012, Akhilesh was given top level VIP security. Around 22 commandos of NSG equipped with state-of-the-art weapons have been deployed in their security. Sources said the Home Ministry has taken the decision based on the report prepared by the intelligence agencies of the Center and the state. The security of two dozen other VIPs will either be withdrawn or cut into it. Government order in this regard is going to be released soon.
