Azam Khan’s Health Deteriorated in Jail, Sent Lucknow for Treatment

Azam Khan Health Update: The health of senior SP leader and MP Azam Khan, lodged in Sitapur Jail of UP, has deteriorated once again. He is being sent to Lucknow for treatment. He will be taken to Lucknow for treatment amid heavy security arrangements.

Let us inform you that even before this, Azam Khan and his son Abdullah Azam were admitted to Medanta on 9 May due to a corona infection. Both tested positive on 30 April. Initially, he was kept in Sitapur Jail, but after Azam Khan's health deteriorated, he was brought to Medanta Hospital in Lucknow on 9 May. Along with his corona infected son, Abdullah Azam was also admitted to the same.

Abdullah Azam's recovery was quick, but Azam Khan's health deteriorated. His condition became very critical several times during May-June. He had to be put on oxygen support in the ICU. Along with the medical director of the hospital, Dr. Rakesh Kapoor, the entire team of doctors was engaged in his treatment.

In the meantime, his health would have been fine and sometimes it would have deteriorated again. At times, when Azam Khan's condition became critical, the need for oxygen also increased significantly. After a long time, he recovered after which he was discharged from the hospital.

This morning suddenly Azam Khan's health deteriorated again. The team of doctors including SDM Sadar, CO City reached the district jail as soon as the information about his health deteriorated. After a health check-up, he was referred to Lucknow for treatment.
