Audi Launches its Most Powerful EV E tron GT & RS Tron GT in India

Audi has launched its electric e-Torn GT and RS e-Torn GT cars in India. The starting ex-showroom price of the e-Torn GT is Rs 1.80 crore and the starting ex-showroom price of RS e-Torn GT is Rs 2.05 crore. The Audi e-Torn GT was introduced in February this year. Outside India, it will compete directly with the Tesla Model S Plaid and Porsche Tekken. The RS version can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds.

Audi e-Torn GT and RS e-Torn GT Power

The E-Torn GT's motor generates 470 hp of power and 630 Nm of torque. At the same time, it has an additional 522 hp power and 10 Nm over-boost mode. Similarly, the motor of the RS e-Torn GT generates 590 hp of power and 830 Nm of torque. It has a power mode of an additional 637 hp. Even after weighing around 2,300 kg, the e-torn GT EV accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds and the RS version in 3.3 seconds. The E-Torn GT gets 20-inch alloys and the RS version gets 21-inch wheels.

Battery for Audi e-Torn GT and RS e-Torn GT

The 93kWh battery pack has been given in the E-Torn GT. It uses 800-volt technology. Audi in its claim has ensured that this car can be fast-charged. According to the company, it gives a range of 100 km in 5 minutes of fast charging. However, it will need to be charged overnight with a normal charger. The company says that this car gives a range of 487 km on a single charge.

The cabin of the e-Tron is as plush and futuristic as can be expected from a new generation Audi car. The 12.3-inch Audi Virtual Cockpit digital instrument cluster is paired with a 10.1-inch touchscreen. It helps with infotainment needs as well as navigation, including searching for the nearest charging station.

Audi E-Torn GT vs RS E-Torn GT Competition

Although there is no direct competition from these two models, it is believed that it can compete with Mercedes EQC and Jaguar I-Pace. The Mercedes EQC price in India is Rs 1.07 Cr ex-showroom and the Jaguar I-Pace price is Rs 1.06 Cr ex-showroom.
