Anti-India protests continue in Nepal over border dispute. On Monday evening, the Nepal Police arrested people protesting in Nepal's capital Kathmandu. The protesters took out a torch march from the Indian Embassy to the Parliament of Nepal. He also attempted to enter the Indian embassy.

The protesting Nepalese allege that Kalapani, Lipulekh and Limpiyadhura have been misrepresented in the new map of India. Kathmandu Metropolitan Police chief sub-inspector Uttam Raj Suvedi said 21 protesters have been detained. They were trying to enter the Indian embassy.

Nepal is objecting to the inclusion of parts of the Kalapani region adjoining India, Nepal and China in the Indian map. Nepal has objected to the new map of the country released by the Indian government after the formation of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh as the new union territory. The new map shows Pakistan-occupied slave Kashmir as part of the newly formed Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, while Gilgit-Baltistan is shown as part of Ladakh. Kalapani area is adjacent to the Nepali border touching the Dharchula area of Uttarakhand. This triangular area is very sensitive due to its proximity to China.
