Another Alert of Danger: First Patient of Green fungus Found in Indore

The second wave of Corona started wreaking havoc in the country, but the black and white fungus created an uproar. Now the first case of green fungus has been reported in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Actually, Aspergillus fungus was found in the lungs and sinus of a 34-year-old man at Aurobindo Hospital here. The treatment of this person is now going on in Mumbai. Doctors say that this infection is extremely dangerous from both black and white fungus.

According to the information, Vishal Sridhar, who lives on Manik Bagh Road in Indore, got corona a few days ago. He went home after recovery but was admitted to the hospital again due to post-Covid symptoms. During treatment, Aspergillus fungus was found in his lungs and sinuses, which was identified as green fungus. Doctors said that 90 percent infection was done in Vishal's lungs, after which he was sent to Mumbai by chartered plane.

Now he is undergoing treatment at Hinduja Hospital and his condition worsening every passing Moment. According to doctors, about a month and a half ago, when Vishal came for treatment, his right lung was filled with mucus. The doctors tried a lot to remove it but were not successful. During the treatment, different types of symptoms were observed in the patient. At the same time, his fever also did not drop below 103 degrees.

What is Aspergillus Fungus?

Doctors said that Aspergillus fungus is commonly known as yellow fungus and green fungus, which is sometimes also found as brown fungus. At present, doctors believe that this is the first case of green fungus, which is being diagnosed. This fungus infects the lungs very speedily and takes a longer period to be treated.

The symptoms of Aspergillus fungus are similar to asthma symptoms, including Wheezing, Shortness of breath, Cough and Fever (in rare cases). Some additional symptoms that are seen in the next stage of fungal infection are stuffiness, runny nose, headache, and it also reduces the ability to smell of the victims.
