31 militants have died in terrorist attacks during 2016 to 2018 on the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir. Minister of State for Defense Shripad Naik gave this information in a written reply in Rajya Sabha on Monday.

Naik said that six military personnel were killed in terrorist attacks on the Line of Control in 2016, 13 in 2017 and 18 in 2018. He said, all border posts are sufficiently capable to counter terrorist attacks. Various efforts, including continuous improvement and use of state-of-the-art technology, have made defense preparations more robust. The minister said that the army also conducts an in-depth analysis of terrorist incidents and the identified security breaches during various incidents.

Article 370 was removed from Jammu and Kashmir on 5 August. Since then, there has been a decrease in terrorist attacks on LoC in the state. There are reports of ceasefire from Pakistan from time to time. In such a situation, it has been more than three months since this decision of the Government of India came into force. It is constantly being opposed by Pakistan. Imran Khan is also spreading rumors about Jammu and Kashmir. At the same time, other countries refused to hand over the matter.
