WhatsApp's desktop application users are now able to search for recent groups by entering the name of a contact who is also a member of the group. The most recent stable WhatsApp Desktop version will soon get the feature. This feature will make it much simpler to locate a group with a unique name or unusual characters. Some users have already noticed the change, and it is anticipated that other users will do so in the upcoming days.

The functionality is meant to make using WhatsApp easier for people who run many groups or are a part of many. Users no longer need to memorise the names of various groups because they may search for the groups using the names of contacts who are members of those groups.
