Tata Tigor EV Launched, give a range of 306 km on a Single Charge

Ahead of the festive season, Tata Motors has launched the electric version of the Tata Tigor. The company has kept the starting price of the car at Rs 11.99 lakh. Tata Tigor Electric will be available in three variants. Tata Motors introduced the new Tigor EV on 18 August.

Equipped with Ziptron Technology

The updated Tigor EV will come with Ziptron technology. This is the second electric car from Tata Motors after the Nexon EV, which is based on Ziptrop technology. Equipped with a 26 Kw Lithium-Ion battery pack, this electric car will accelerate to 60 kmph in just 5.7 seconds.

According to the company, the new Tata Tigor EV will be available in three variants. In this, the price of Tata Tigor EV XE will be Rs 11.99 lakh, the price of Tata Tigor EV XM will be Rs 12.49 lakh and the price of Tata Tigor EV XZ+ will be Rs 12.99 lakh.

306 km range on a single charge

The electric version of the Tata Tigor can travel up to 306 km on a single full charge.

80% charge in 1 hour

The new Tata Tigor EV can be charged from 0 to 80% in 1 hour with a fast charger. On the other hand, in-home charging, it will be charged from 0 to 80% in about 8.5 hours. This car can be charged with a socket of 15A. Which are easily available in our home and office.

This electric car from Tata will have a 55kW electric motor and 26kWh lithium-ion battery pack, which will generate power up to 74bhp (55kW) and torque of up to 170Nm. The company will give a battery warranty of up to 1,60,000 km with 8 years on the car.

A waterproof battery system will be available

Safety features include hill ascent, hill descent control, dual airbags, ABS, and cornering stability control with EBD. Apart from this, the car will be equipped with an IP67 rated battery pack and motor. Tata Motors claims that the new Tigor EV will now be the safest electric sedan in the country. Let us tell you, Tata Motors entered the electric car market in India in 2017.

2021 Tata Tigor EV gets a 4-star rating

According to the Global NCAP, the updated Tata Tigor EV's test scores have a maximum score of 12 out of 17 for adult occupants and 37.24 out of 49 for child occupants. Due to which the car was able to make it to the 4-star rating. In NCAP testing, the Tata Tigor EV was found to be good in head and chest protection.
