MG Hector: You may have to Wait till 7 Months for This Variant

MG (Morris Garages) Motor India launched MG Hector in India at the starting price of Rs. 12.18 lakh on 27th June. Keeping in mind the rivals like Tata Harrier, Mahindra XUV500 and Jeep Compass, the company surprised everyone at this initial price. On the same day, the company also informed that MG has received more than 10,000 bookings for the new Hector Premium SUV. Let us know that the booking was started on 4th June. Now it is learned that this car has become so popular that the booking period has reached 7 months.

MG Hector comes with three engine options. The first engine here is a 1.5-liter turbocharged intercouple petrol engine. This engine generates 143 PS power and pickup torque of 250 Nm. With this engine 6-speed manual transmission and 6-speed DCT transmission option is available. Apart from this, there is a choice of 1.5-liter hybrid turbocharged intercouple petrol motor. This unit generates torque of power of 143 PS and 250 Nm.

Apart from this, this premium SUV has also been supplied with 2.0-liter turbocharged diesel. This engine generates 170 PS power and pickup torque of 350 Nm. 6-speed manual gearbox option with hybrid and diesel variants is available.

MG Hector's Sharp Petrol DCT variant is in most demand. According to the report of Autocarandia, there is a 7-month waiting period for this in Delhi and in other places the waiting period has reached for 6 months.
