Increased Demand for Mobile Computing Devices: Work-from-Home Became the Main Reason

A new report has revealed that the demand for mobile computing devices is continuously increasing. Also, mobile computing revenue could double this year. However, the revenue sales rate of all three tablets and notebooks is expected to grow by 25% in 2020 and 17% in 2021.

According to a report by market research firm Strategy Analytics, the mobile computing market has taken a beating after several years of declining shipments and revenue. In fact, its demand in the Corona period has set a new record.

Let us tell you that mobile computing devices include devices such as batteries, cameras, voice recorders, and music players laptop computers, tablets, smartphones, e-readers, and handheld gaming.

Mobile computing device shipments hit 46 million units

Work-from-home, virtual learning options, and hybrid work schedules have increased more than before. Hence mobile computing device shipments are projected to grow to around 46 million units (458 million) by 2026.

Eric Smith, director of Connected Computing, says that smartphones have become a necessity for everyday use. Professional customers are increasingly using productivity tools, he said.

All these developments suggest that the demand for mobile computing devices will remain in the market for now.

The report estimates that up to 39% of all households in the world will be products of computing devices. At the same time, it will increase. The new update of Windows 11 will work to bring life to this market. This is expected to reach a high level of revenue from about 15 lakh crores ($ 197 billion) to 18 lakh crores ($ 241 billion) in 2025.

Industry director Chirag Upadhyay said that the wave of Covid-19 infection will continue to impact larger markets and customer mindset every year, leading to persistently high demand. At the same time, the risk of the supply chain will remain till 2023.
