13 Lakh Xiaomi Counterfeit Products Seized, this is how you Identify Products

Chinese smartphone company Xiaomi has said that Delhi Police has recovered Xiaomi Counterfeit Products worth Rs 13 lakh from the Ghaffar market in Delhi. According to the report, on 25 December, Delhi Police has seized the products with the supplier of Ghaffar Market.

According to a press release Xiaomi, the company had complained to the police on 15 November. After this, Delhi Police raided Ghaffar Market and then the counterfeit Xiaomi products worth Rs 13 lakh were recovered.

According to Xiaomi, Delhi Police has seized more than 2000 fake products of Xiaomi. The police raided four shops and seized fake products of Xiaomi. Xiaomi has said that these shops of Ghaffar Market were selling fake accessories of Xiaomi.

Chinese company Xiaomi has said that most of the products found in these fake products are – Mi Powerbanks, Mi Necbands, Mi Travel Adaptor, Mi Earphones Basic, Mi Wireless Headsets, Redmi Air Dots.

Xiaomi has said that when questioned by the police, it was found that these shop owners had been selling fake accessories of Xiaomi for a few years. Customers are also harmed by fake products, while it is a matter of great loss for the company as well.

Xiaomi has released a press release stating that customers can identify Xiaomi fake products in some ways.

This is how to identify fake Xiaomi products.

— Some products like Mi Powerbank have security codes which can be authenticated by checking on Xiaomi's website.

— Box packaging and retail boxes are different from the original ones, which can be checked by visiting the company's website.

— Original logo should be checked

— Support of all fitness related Xiaomi devices is supported by Mi Fit app, if support is not found then understand it is fake.

— Xiaomi original batteries will have Li Poly Batteries written, if Li-ion is written, then understand that it is not from Xiaomi.
