Suvendu Adhikari, a leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), launched a criticism against the Trinamool Congress (TMC) government led by Mamata Banerjee in West Bengal. 

This comes after another explosion, connected to the illegal firecracker trade, occurred in the state. Remarkably, this incident marks the third explosion within seven days.

According to the state assembly's opposition leader, "the situation in West Bengal is far worse than the situation in Ukraine."

There are fewer explosions in Ukraine than in Bengal. Even there, the situation has calmed down, but there are still explosions in Bengal," Suvendu Adhikari told news agency ANI.

About the Supreme Court's upcoming hearing on May 26 regarding Abhishek Banerjee's plea, Suvendu Adhikari posed a question, stating, "Considering that the law applies to all equally. 

Why have the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) not taken action against Mamata Banerjee in the Saradha chit fund scam and her nephew, Abhishek Banerjee, in the coal and cow smuggling case?"

Suvendu Adhikari expressed confidence in the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) victory in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, saying, "PM Narendra Modi will cross 400 seats."

On May 16, two back-to-back bombings followed a massive explosion that killed 12 people in the Purba Medinipur area.

According to police sources, no casualties were reported in the recent explosion that reportedly occurred at the residence of a local Trinamool Congress leader in Birbhum district. 

Three individuals from a family lost their lives in a blast at an illegal firecracker factory in South 24 Parganas district on the previous Sunday. This information was shared with PTI by the police.

The individuals who tragically lost their lives in the blast were identified as Jamuna Das, aged 65, along with her daughter Pampa Ghati and her 10-year-old granddaughter Jayashree. The exact number of injured individuals resulting from the explosion, however, was not specified.

Committee will be formed to look into this matter

To prevent the existence of such illegal factories in the future, the state Cabinet has decided to establish clusters for the production of environmentally-friendly firecrackers. 

A committee, led by Chief Secretary HK Dwivedi, has been formed by the government to investigate this issue, as stated by a senior minister.

Meanwhile, the state government has requested a CID investigation into the event, according to a top official.
