UP CM Yogi Adityanath Takes a Break to Watch Sudipto Sen's 'The Kerala Story'

On May 12, Friday, despite having a busy schedule, Uttar Pradesh's Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath, made time to attend a special screening of Sudipto Sen's controversial film 'The Kerala Story' in Lucknow's Lok Bhavan Auditorium at 11.30 am.

According to a tweet by the news agency ANI on their UP/Uttarakhand handle, Yogi Adityanath, along with his cabinet members, attended a special screening of 'The Kerala Story' at Lok Bhawan.

Earlier on Wednesday, the team behind the film 'The Kerala Story', including actor Adah Sharma, director Sudipto Sen, and producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah, was greeted by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath during their meeting in Lucknow.

Tax Exemption for 'The Kerala Story' in 4 States

The controversial film 'The Kerala Story', starring Adah Sharma, was released in theatres on May 5, and has since been the subject of intense scrutiny. While some have hailed it as an 'eye-opener', others have labelled it as 'propaganda'.

The film has evoked extreme reactions, not just from the general public, but also from politicians.

West Bengal's CM Mamata Banerjee banned the screening of the film across the state, while the CMs of Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakkhand and Haryana have granted it tax exemption.
