UP: Atiq Ahmed's Son Asad Gunned Down in Jhansi Encounter

Asad Encounter: As anticipated, the statement made by CM Yogi Adityanath in the assembly that criminals would be eliminated in UP has been acted upon.

In accordance with this, Asad, who was involved in the murder case of Umesh Pal and was the son of mafia Atiq Ahmed, has been killed in an encounter.

Additionally, Mohammad Ghulam, who was a shooter, was also killed during the incident.

Atiq Ahmed is a former Member of Parliament and a controversial figure with several criminal cases against him. 

His son, Asad, was also allegedly involved in criminal activities and was wanted in several cases, including murder and attempted murder.

Asad had a bounty of 5 lakh On His Head

The encounter took place with the UP STF team, which was led by DySP Navendu and DySP Vimal. The encounter site has yielded sophisticated foreign-made weapons. He had a Rs 5 lakh bounty on his head.

The incident allegedly occurred when police were executing a raid to arrest him in connection with an attempted murder case.

The suspect was killed in the incident, and police retrieved firearms and ammo from the site.

Asad Encounter: CM Yogi praised UP STF and the entire team

Following the encounter of Atiq Ahmed's son Asad and his associate, CM Yogi Adityanath held a meeting on law and order where he praised the UP STF, DGP, Special DG law and order, and the entire team for their efforts.

UP's deputy chief minister Keshav Prasad Maurya has deemed Asad Ahmed's killing as a "historic" event and touted it as a message to other criminals that the Yogi Adityanath-led government is in control.

While Atiq Ahmed's son Asad and his associate were encountered by the UP STF, Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf were presented before the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Court in Prayagraj on the same day, in relation to the Umesh Pal murder case. Both of them were remanded to police custody.

As soon as Atiq Ahmed received news of his son's encounter, he was about to appear in the Prayagraj court in connection with his alleged involvement in the Umesh Pal murder case.

The mafia was overcome with emotion and broke down in tears upon hearing about Asad's encounter.
