Former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh has made a sensational disclosure in front of the Enforcement Directorate (ED). Deshmukh has told the ED that he believes that the mastermind of the Antilia bomb case is none other than former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh. Explosives were kept in Scorpio near the house of entrepreneur Mukesh Ambani at his behest and Mansukh HirEn, the owner of the vehicle, was killed.

Parambir Singh misled the government: Deshmukh

According to the sources, Deshmukh has told that Param Bir Singh was called during the assembly session last March to give information in the Antilia bomb case and Singh misled the government by his reply in the presence of senior officials of the Home Ministry. Deshmukh said, "Param Bir Singh was removed from the post of Commissioner of Mumbai Police because the names of his very close policemen, API Sachin Vaze and four others had cropped up in the Antilia bomb case."

The former home minister said, "I found Singh to be the mastermind of the whole matter as he was hiding the truth." The NIA has said that Vaze hatched a conspiracy in the Antilia bomb case to restore his status in the police department and become a supercop. Deshmukh says that despite the objection of the Joint Police Commissioner, Vaze was appointed to the CIU unit on Singh's insistence. He said that he never came face-to-face with Vaze except in the Dilip Chhabria case.

Gelatin sticks were found in Scorpio in February last year

It is noteworthy that on February 25, gelatin sticks were found in a Scorpio car near the house of industrialist Mukesh Ambani. Thane-based businessman Mansukh Hiren had then claimed that the car was stolen a week ago. Mansukh Hiren was later found dead in Thane on March 5. After this, the then assistant inspector Vaze was arrested in March 2021.
