Bombay High Court issued a notice to Nawab Malik

NCP leader Nawab Malik had assured the High Court that he would not make any statements on the family of NCB zonal director Sameer Wankhede. However, despite this, Nawab Malik made rhetoric on the family of Sameer Wankhede. In this case, the Bombay High Court issued a notice to Nawab Malik, a minister in the Maharashtra government. The notice asked him to file an affidavit as to why action should not be taken against him for willfully violating his earlier orders about statements against Gyandev Wankhede and his family, even though he told the court that he was not doing.

It is known that Gyandev Wankhede, father of senior NCB officer Sameer Wankhede, had filed a petition in the Bombay High Court against minister Nawab Malik in the Uddhav government, alleging defamation. After this, Nawab Malik took a pledge not to post defamatory statements against any member of the Sameer Wankhede family until the court's decision in this matter.

Gyandev Wankhede filed an affidavit

At the same time, Gyandev Wankhede filed an affidavit before the Bombay High Court on 6 December alleging that NCP leader Nawab Malik has committed contempt of court, as he has continued to make statements against his family despite giving an undertaking in the court. In his defamation suit, Gyandev Wankhede claimed that Nawab Malik started levelling allegations against his son after his son-in-law Sameer Khan was arrested by the NCB in a drugs case. Apart from seeking damages, Gyandev Wankhede had requested the HC to order the removal of the defamation content and restrain the NCP leader from making such remarks.
