Delhi Video Viral Videos Controversy: In response to a series of controversial viral videos involving riders, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced plans to enhance patrolling efforts at stations and inside trains.

Uniformed security personnel, as well as plain-clothed staff members, will be deployed to strengthen surveillance, according to officials.

The decision comes after a recent video went viral on social media, allegedly showing a couple engaged in a kiss while seated on the floor of a metro coach.

Sources have revealed that the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) wrote to the Delhi Police, urging them to enhance patrolling efforts at metro stations and within the trains to address such incidents.

A senior official stated that the recent videos have prompted the DMRC to take several measures to improve security and surveillance.

One such measure involves the deployment of uniformed police personnel and plain-clothed DMRC staff for patrolling inside the metro coaches.

Currently, CCTV cameras are present in coaches across all lines, with the exception of a few older trains on line one. As part of an ongoing refurbishment process, these coaches will also have CCTV cameras installed, along with an increased presence of cameras at metro stations to monitor and address any objectionable activities.

The DMRC is taking proactive steps to ensure passenger safety and maintain a secure environment throughout the metro system.

DMRC Urges Commuters to Report Incidents for Swift Action

The senior DMRC official further highlighted that the bolstered security measures would not only discourage potential threats but also prevent any inconvenience to passengers, particularly women.

The recent video of the couple's public display of affection has stirred outrage among many social media users, who have called on the DMRC to take appropriate action.

The DMRC has urged commuters to report any such incidents to the nearest available metro staff or CISF personnel immediately so that swift and appropriate action can be taken.

The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) is responsible for safeguarding the Delhi Metro premises and responding to any situation within the coaches.

Additionally, the dedicated Delhi Metro Rail Police is present to address any untoward activity.
