Akash Singh

Former Indian Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni's fans have been eagerly waiting for his return and many believed that his form in the upcoming season of Indian Premier League (IPL) will play a key role in his return to Team India. But the question is, Will Dhoni be able to return to the Indian team? Meanwhile, Wasim Jaffer, the former India opener, has a different opinion about former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

Jaffer wrote through his official Twitter handle, "If Dhoni is fit and in form I think we can't look beyond him as he'll be an asset behind the stumps and also lower down the order. It'll take the pressure of keeping off Rahul and India can play Pant as a batsman too if they want a lefty."

Recently, former India team explosive batsman Virender Sehwag made a big statement about Dhoni's return to the Indian team. He said in an event on Tuesday that Dhoni's return to Team India is impossible even after a good performance in the 13th season of IPL.

Let us tell you that Mahendra Singh Dhoni played his last international match in July 2019. Dhoni has been away from cricket since the defeat against New Zealand in the semifinal match of the 2019 ICC World Cup. At the same time, Wasim Jaffer had recently announced his retirement from all formats of cricket. 42-year-old Wasim Jaffer played his last Test match for India in April 2008 against South Africa in Kanpur.
