Virat Kohli Wishes Fans On Guru Nanak Jayanti

On the auspicious occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti, Indian Skipper Virat Kohli has shared a video of him wishing his fans on the 550th birth year of Sikh Guru. In the video shared by cricketer on his Instagram profile, Virat can be heard saying "Sat Sri Akal Ji, a big hello to everyone. Wanna wish everyone a very happy Gurupurab..ahh…May Waheguru Ji bring peace and happiness into your lives and bless all of you."

He inscribed the post: "Happy gurpurab to everyone ??". Inside 48 minutes of the upload, the clip was viewed more than 66,000 times. The comment section of the post was overwhelmed with comments from his fans, who wished their icon on Guruparb.

Today, Sikh peoples the whole way across the globe are celebrating the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikhism, the Sikh community celebrates Guru Nanak Jayanti or Gurpurab. It is viewed as one of the holiest festivals. Guru Nanak Jayanti is commended on the full moon day of Kartik month, otherwise called Kartik Poornima. This year, followers of Guru Nanak will praise the Guru Nanak Jayanti on November 12, 2019.

Founder of Sikhism Guru Nanak Dev, who was a preacher of harmony and overhauling, was born in a town named Rai Bhoi di Talwandi. It is by and by well known as Nankana Sahib, close to Lahore, Pakistan. He set up various spiritual, social and political platforms, which were constituted on the principles of quality, goodness, and virtue.  His teachings are preserved in the holy texts of the Guru Granth Sahib. This year marks the 550th birth anniversary of Sikh Guru, Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
