Indian Batsman Karun Nair tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend, Shanaya Tankariwala in Udaipur on Thursday. Shanaya is a media professional and Karun proposed her for the wedding last year. Karun and Shanaya's close relatives attended this marriage. Karun Nair plays domestic cricket for Karnataka and the Karnataka Ranji team congratulated them both on their marriage. It is being told that Karun and Shanaya are married according to South Indian customs. Significantly, Karun and Shanaya had been dating each other for a long time.

Karun Nair, 28, hails from Jodhpur. Karun has scored over 5000 runs in first-class cricket. He has played 6 Test matches for Team India while he also got a chance to play two ODIs. Karun Nair came into the limelight when he hit a triple century in Test cricket and became the second batsman to score a triple century in Test cricket from India.

Karun Nair scored a triple century in Test cricket against England in Chennai. He scored an unbeaten 303 runs. Although he got a chance to play three more Tests after this triple century, he could not do anything special and got out of the team. In 2017, he played his last Test match against Australia at Dharamshala, since then he has been running out of the team. He scored a total of 374 runs in six Test matches for India. He has scored 46 runs in two ODIs played for India.
