T20 World Cup: Cricket Australia will Talk to ICC for Holding Reserve Day for Semi-Finals

Recently, the Women's T20 World Cup was played in Australia, in which the Indian team reached the final without playing the semi-finals, because it had rained on the semi-final day and the match had to be canceled without playing. In view of this, Cricket Australia (CA) will now talk to the International Cricket Council (ICC) that ICC should keep Reserve Day for the semi-finals in Men's T20 World Cup 2020.

The T20 World Cup is to be held in Australia in October-November, for which the ICC Cricket Committee will meet and some big decisions are to be taken in this meeting. At the same meeting, the Australia Cricket Board may propose to have a reserve day in the T20 World Cup semifinals. Earlier this month, the ICC did not allow Cricket Australia to hold Reserve Day in the Women's T20 World Cup.

The ICC Men's T20 World Cup is to be held in Australia from 18 October, and the final will be played on 15 November at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The ICC has kept Reserve Day only for the final, but Cricket Australia wants to have a reserve day in the knockout round of the Men T20 World Cup so that no team will be eliminated from the semi-finals due to rain.
