The star footballer of India said, "I know that I don't have enough matches left to play for my country. There is no need to hurry because of this. I myself focus on only one match at a time. "

Sunil Chhetri holds the record for highest goals in International football after Cristiano Ronaldo. Chhetri is the highest-scoring footballer for India. He said, "I need to work harder now. As a team we need to win as many matches as possible. Our ultimate goal is to qualify for the 2023 Asia Cup in China.  We need to maintain consistency to qualify for the Continental Championships. The team that has confidence in it is excellent and there is no reason why we cannot qualify for this tournament in China."

The Indian team currently holds a total of 3 points from five matches in the FIFA World Cup qualifier. India has to play next match with Asian champion Qatar. Earlier, India drew the match against Qatar at their home ground. Now, Team India will play at Guwahati among its home audience.
