Rishabh Pant is a Match Winner for Team: Deep Dasgupta

Akash Singh

Indian wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant was seen as the successor of Mahendra Singh Dhoni, but today the circumstances are such that he is struggling to retain his place in the team. Ever since Lokesh Rahul has taken over the responsibility of wicketkeeping in ODIs and T20s, Rishabh has been seen sitting on the bench in both these formats of cricket.

Rishabh Pant's time is not going well for the moment, but amid all these things, former Indian wicketkeeper Deep Dasgupta has said that Rishabh Pant is a match-winner. He praised the Indian team management and said that this player needs to be handled properly. He said that there is no dearth of talent in Pant and he is an incredible player. He is a match-winner and a player full of confidence, he just needs to handle it judiciously.

Deep Dasgupta explained the importance of domestic cricket in his talks and said that he was on the tour of New Zealand, but he got the chance in the Test series. He should have played domestic cricket while he was sitting on the bench. He sat on the bench for almost a month and during this time he kept practicing only on the net.  He said that Rishabh Pant should have used that time properly and should have enhanced his skill by playing domestic cricket.
