PV Sindhu Meets Prime Minister Narendra Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi met world champion PV Sindhu on Tuesday and Wished her luck for her future assignments.

Remarkably, Sindhu had contended energetically against the chances and the tag of being a 'choker' as she secured the gold in a range of an unimportant 38 minutes as she vanquished Japan's Nozomi Okuhara 21-7, 21-7 in the final of the women's singles occasion in Basel, Switzerland.

"India's pride, a champion who has brought home a gold and lots of glory! Happy to have met PV Sindhu. Congratulated her and wished her the very best for her future endeavors,"  tweeted Modi.

After her noteworthy success, Modi had praised Sindhu on social media. "The stupendously talented PV Sindhu makes India proud again! Congratulations to her for winning the Gold at the BWF World Championships. The passion and dedication with which she's pursued badminton are inspiring. PV Sindhu's success will inspire generations of players,"  Modi had tweeted.

Before gathering Modi, Sindhu, alongside father PV Ramana, mentor P Gopichand, and Badminton Association of India (BAI) President Himanta Biswa Sarma, had met Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs Kiren Rijiju.
