The England Cricket Board has made preparations to cancel the tour of Pakistan. The ECB can announce the cancellation of the tour of Pakistan within two days.

The ECB issued a statement saying, "We have received information that New Zealand has canceled the tour of Pakistan due to security reasons. We are monitoring the whole situation. We are trying to know the situation in Pakistan from the security team.

New Zealand and England had contracted the same security team to take stock of the security in Pakistan. The ECB said, "We have not yet taken a final decision on canceling the tour. We will make an official announcement in a day or two whether the England team will go to Pakistan or not.
