IPL 2022: Here is the Preparation of Ahmedabad Team Before the Auction

Anshika Agarwal

The Ahmedabad team, which will compete in the Indian Premier League for the first time in 2022, has begun training its core group. Ahmedabad was in talks with many players after receiving BCCI approval, and now, ahead of the mega auction, the club has completed its list of three reserve players, following which the preparations for assembling the core group in the auction will begin.

Hardik Pandya, Rashid Khan, and Shubman Gill are expected to join Ahmedabad, according to the report. Hardik and Rashid would each receive Rs 15 crore, while Shubman Gill will receive Rs 7 crore. In this case, Ahmedabad will have spent Rs 37 crore before coming to the mega auction, leaving it with Rs 53 crore in the auction.

Let us inform you that Mumbai Indians released Hardik Pandya, while Rashid Khan's Sunrisers Hyderabad was unable to discuss money. Shubman Gill, on the other hand, was not included in the Kolkata Knight Riders' list of retained players.

Aside from these players, Ahmedabad now has to prepare its core group within this budget. If this list is accurate, Ahmedabad is off to a tremendous start. Because Hardik Pandya is the best all-rounder in the world right now (forget about recent form), and Rashid Khan is the best spinner in the world. A youthful opener like Shubman Gill, who can bat quickly, is also a good option.

In such a case, Ahmedabad's focus would now be on including some local and international celebrities in the auction. Openers, fast bowlers, and other spinners can be brought in as well. Previously, it was thought that Ishan Kishan would also join Ahmedabad, but this option may now only be accessible through the auction.

Let us notify you that CVC Capital Partners purchased Ahmedabad for Rs 5625 crore. Former Indian bowler Ashish Nehra has been named coach, and former India coach Gary Kirsten has been named mentor. The Ahmedabad team will be directed by Vikram Solanki.

Auctions in February

This year's IPL will feature ten teams, with Lucknow and Ahmedabad participating for the first time. The mega auction is expected to take place in February, with each team receiving a prize of up to 90 crores. Many clubs have spent their money by keeping some players, thus the remaining funds will be used to attend the mega auction.
