Indian Team Should be Announced Four Months Before T20 World Cup: Yuvraj Singh

Akash Singh

Former all-rounder Yuvraj Singh and senior off-spinner Harbhajan Singh of the Indian cricket team said during a TV program that the Virat Kohli-led Indian team should be ready four months before the T20 World Cup tournament. Yuvraj said that I mean you should know which 16 or 14 players will go with the team. I think we should be ready before the World Cup. If we have the players fixed, then we will not have to face any kind of problem as well as we will not have to face much trouble regarding the team combination.

The Indian team is trying out many young players in view of the preparations for the World Cup. Yuvraj, who played a key role in making India one-day world champions in 2011 and T20 World cup Champions in 2007, Yuvraj Singh also supported all-rounder Shivam Dubey on the occasion, saying that he is a left-handed batsman who can also bowl.

Yuvraj's partner Harbhajan Singh also expressed similar views. He said that the team should be organized in advance and the players should know that they will play in the World Cup. It should not happen that there is a doubt in anyone's mind about a place in the team. He said that players should be aware of their role in the team. Being clear about the role will positively impact the team's performance. Team India is currently playing ODI series with West Indies. Earlier in the T20 series, India defeated the Caribbean team 2–1. At the same time, India lost in the first ODI to the West Indies.
