Meanwhile, the head coach of the Indian team, Ravi Shastri, gave his opinion on the Citizenship Amendment Act.  Shastri said, 'Be Patient, the government must have thought a lot on what has been done'. Former Indian batsman Ravi Shastri has said that he is confident that the government may have thought before enacting the law. Shastri said in a interview, "When I looked at CAA and things around it, I looked as an Indian. My team has all kinds of people who come from different castes and religions, But all are Indians. I have told everyone to be patient. I can see a lot of positivity coming out of it in the long run. "

Ravi Shastri has said, "I am sure that the government must have decided after thinking about it. Still some things have to be twisted here and there and they will do it for the benefit of Indians. I am here Speaking like an Indian. I am not talking about any x, y, z religion. So, Being an Indian I think that they had done right. "
