In such a situation, before this match, the Indian team management will select a strong playing XI as two players of the team also selected for the tour of England.

On Monday morning, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the replacements of Shubman Gill, Avesh Khan and Washington Sundar. Apart from Abhimanyu Easwaran, Prithvi Shaw and Suryakumar Yadav also included in the team. Easwaran is in England as stand-by, but Prithvi Shaw and Suryakumar Yadav are currently in Sri Lanka, who have to travel to England.
