Indian team captain Virat Kohli achieved another milestone as a captain in the third T20 International match against New Zealand. Just after scoring 25 runs in the third T20 match, Virat became the highest run-scorer for India as captain in T20 International cricket. However, the list is lead by South Africa captain Faf du Plessis as he holds the record for most runs as captain in T20I cricket with 1273 runs in just 40 matches at an average of 37.44 while New Zealand's captain Kane Williamson is at second place with 1148 runs from 42 matches.

With this, Virat Kohli surpasses MS Dhoni, who had scored 1112 runs as a captain in T20I. However, Virat Kohli was dismissed for 38 runs in this match with the help of 2 fours and 1 six off 27 balls. Virat Kohli is the first batsman in the world to score the most runs in T20 International cricket. Virat has scored 2783 runs in T20 International cricket so far.

Virat Kohli has also become the highest-run scoring captain in international cricket for the Indian team. Virat has already achieved this feat in Test cricket. At the same time, he has created history with this amazing performance in T20 International cricket. However, MS Dhoni is still the highest run-scorer for India as a captain in international ODI cricket.
